Students can enter these codes on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form to indicate which postsecondary schools they want to receive their financial application results. The Federal School Code List is a searchable document in Excel format.
The save key allows you to return to your FAFSA form. It will take you to the point where you stopped and saved your work. It also allows you to share access to your FAFSA form if your parent needs to add information or sign it. The save key must be between 4 and 8 characters long.
