That is some toxicity. And shows the true dark side of these people. Look, I know that I can be the same sometimes to series like Me & Roboco, but I am past that now. And I can say some positives when I do see some funny chapters when they are good. Undead Unluck stayed due to the circumstances Jump was in back from the exodus of 2020. And how it survived this long shows how much time it had to be as long as it was. As for the whole Nakano to Saito and his decision to probably end it, we have to accept that. I bet for some back in 2012 when you saw the transition from Sasaki to Heishi and saw the loss of one of everyone’s favorite series Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan and how it should have stayed and completed its run. But at the same time we also have to remember that ever since 2004 every 4 years we have a great lineup of new titles that come in due to positive reception, and 2012 was no exception due to getting Haikyu, Sakki K, Assassination Classroom, and Food Wars!. It’s just that now that it is crowded, there really isn’t enough space for it to stay. But for those that are celebrating in its demise…..I won’t go that far but I have a few choice of words to say if it gets there. I am going to be the better person in this response.

This didn't happend for an long time when an manga get canceled with such a high number while having an anime. So having so much people coming with high emotions is to be expected, I also can't really blame the fans that are upset.

But what I can say is that the author is also human and having so much story planned and high expectations in a Weekly basis,,, it's rough but a journey for sure. he's trying his best to entertain every fans reading his work. Casuals will call him a failure but in truth he was still able to strive in this magazine.

(Bruh im not even a big UU fan, but I had to gospel for an unique series like this)

I believe it will be done right before the December batch, I see no any reason to last it any longer if the cancelation is really set..

Just bring murakami with it too please...
Kiyoshi will prob go down too
Idk if the editor let choujo even stick
Kill blue will become another cushion

Speaking as someone who never read JJK (but enjoyed the first season of the anime adaptation), I could never get into the manga because every time I tried reading it, specially the later chapters, I would just get bombarded by walls of incomprehensible text and my eyes would roll over just a few pages in. Some of the chapters I tried reading felt like parodies of themselves, with how complicated and up-its-own-ass the power system had become. But again, this is all from an outsider's perspective.

I swear.

Because Kubo is a god in Manga. If you understand what Bleach brought to the game, you will get it.

I got some problems with the last arc of JJK but overall it’s been a blast to me especially weekly. The Gojo Sukuna fight will probably go down as my favorite ever even though I crashed out at its ending. Lot of things I didn’t like but it won’t change the fact that it’s some of the most fun I’ve had. Following the Sukuna gauntlet weekly was special lol, can’t wait for the anime adaptation of it.

And I do think the reception will overall be fine. Even AoTs ending was received well by anime onlies, as well as Bleach as people mentioned. Granted I still don’t like Bleach’s final arc and ending

My Top 3:

1. Akane Banashi
2. One Piece
3. Blue Box

Also voted for Kagurabachi and Chojo

10. Akane-banashi: This is only a relaxed, breather episode so I can't rank it that high. But in this series, even these kind of chapters are really good. Akane mad at Karasu for no reason and him playing videogames unaware was a very funny moment.

¿Is there any reason Akane is not 9?

Ever watch season two? I found it a vast, vast improvement over even the first and I think a lot of the more text heavy moments are put across far better than its manga contemporary even if it's only because we have a narrating voice now. If you liked the first season it's absolutely worth a go since it's in my opinion the best WSJ adaptation put to screen. Still listening to that OST daily.

Back to the point, though. That's like, the one area I will genuinely knock back against JJK for because as the series went along it did start taking more creative liberties with being known for its complex power system. Still, though, even that can at times be pretty endearing as a weekly reader over someone who just binges the entire series all at once. It's about the week to week theory crafting with the community; Shinjuku Showdown will go down as one of the strongest shonen fights ever because of it.

Yeah, I think people vastly underestimate the power of a good adaptation. Couldn't tell you why after what they put him through as a debut series director for season two, but Gosso essentially soft confirmed he was staying with MAPPA to continue JJK so it legitimately at the moment could not be better hands. Only holding out hope now for a Gojo v. Sukuna movie.

Production line just have to finish work on the Reze arc and we'll be golden for a million more years of JJK.

I wasn't keeping up with manga during the time, but what happened that made Toriko's reception fall off a cliff? I checked Jajanken (https://www.jajanken.net/en/sakuhins/zbgwNEL0k7) and it went from getting covers all the time to only one color page a year. It even went an entire year without a color page!

Also, I started reading Toriko and I really like it so far

I started reading Toriko too! I’m currently on chapter 40 and I’m enjoying it. I still can’t stand the art style but I’m in love with the creativity of this world!

Checked out others like Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan and Food Wars!, and Nura struggled when it got to the 130’s and for Food Wars!, after somewhere in the 280’s it got a cover for an anniversary at chapter 287 and then sank like a rock, for 28 chapters. I just hope Undead Unluck will be better.

Yeah food wars got pretty divisive when Erina's dad became the major antagonist.

Personally I loved it the whole way through, Asahi was third best boy even

Yeah I started reading because I caught up on One Piece and wanted something with similar world building. I'm only on chapter 30 but I really like the world so far! I also like the art style but I understand why it may turn people off.

It's pretty much what happens when a long runner's anime ends, same thing happened with Reborn! as well. They tend to be so far into their run that they don't pick up any new fans with the lack of anime, and as new big things come and take their votes, the remaining core fanbase will go to the volume sales.

It usually doesn't have anything to do with actual reception, though long running pillars go unaffected.

Nura has an extremely strong first 130 chapters, ending with a big arc, but then kind of flounders around doing whatever until rushing the final arc (which was actually decent aside from the rushing imo). It's still solid though. I actually liked Food Wars through the Central arc, but then the myster arc came and my interest vanished.

I guess it makes sense that promo like color pages don't help long running series. I wonder if that's why Jump is announcing animes later and later.

Gojo vs Sukuna is probably one of the best fights of all time, you are not serious right? I dropped Sakamoto Days, the fights don't really have emotional impact to me they are good though. I think Kagurabachi is amazing. A lot of people hate on JJK on here, I think the last chapter is going to be great even though 267-269 had massive problems. 270 was a step in the right direction.

270 is still a hot garbage with too many irrelevant characters noone ask for (biggest problem is Amai, 2.5 pages for him?? And to lesser extent, Charles. I argue Kappa and Katana is OK because some important lore dropped, but i feel that less pages could have been invested)

Bleach's anime is definitely a huge boon to the final arc. It's a fun arc to binge through but weekly Bleach's manga pacing was outright painful, half a thing happens each chapter. The anime speeds things up to be actually reasonable while also even expanding on and improving some of the weaker fights of the manga.

I can't see Jujutsu getting that however, its issues aren't fixable with better pacing and some extra content. The final fight in particular would need a complete structural rework from start to end.

The way he shafted some characters extremely badly can never be fixed by pretty visuals. It is not fixable.

Probably to help recover at the time to establish fan bases until a major one comes in and helps the magazine with a pick me up.
